Consulting & engineering references:

Power plant consulting   EECC was contracted by a leading European utility to provide consulting for the permitting and contracting phase of a 400MW combined cycle power plant. The language skills (beyond the solid engineering background) of EECC key people were decisive factors in this projects.

Power plant project management   The subject was the project management of the repair and recommissioning of a CHP plant which was partially destroyed by a fire. Close cooperation with end users, equipment manufacturers and insurers was the essence of the project.

Industrial plant project management   EECC successfully manages projects in different fields, for example in the paper industry, where the time schedules are particularly tight and success has to be shown on paper from the first day.

Gas turbine controls   A major gas turbine manufacturer contracted EECC to specify and support commissioning of an upgraded heavy duty gas turbine. The contract could successfully be closed on time thanks to the longstanding experience of the EECC engineers in this field.

Indipendent expertise   Assessment of a 6MW class gas turbine after a compressor damage. EECCs services were demanded by the plant owner in order to develop an optimised repair and operation strategy.

Instrumentation upgrade and diagnosys system implementation   EECC supports the implementation of monitoring and diagnosys systems for preventive maintenence and performance optiomisation of turbomachinery, developing customized intrumentation strategies to obtain best cost-benefit ratio. EECC specified the interface between existing DCS and new diagnosys system.

Consulting for sales support for a leading european gas compressor packager including technical and commercial project definition.

Gas turbine auxiliaries design   Gas turbine power plants reliability and availability are assured by clever auxiliary system design. EECC is experienced in the concept and detail engineering of auxiliaries for aeroderivative gas turbines, combining latest technology available with proven solutions, always keeping in mind the best life cycle cost, with the target of full customer satisfaction. Auxiliary systems include fuel, lubrication, cooling, ventilation, air intake, exhaust and fire fighting systems, as well as full instrumentation scope.

Biomass power plant feasibility study   Development of sustainable concepts for biomass use in power plant applications with regard to typical central european conditions. The work was executed in cooperation with a leading swiss research institute and industrial partners.

Delivered systems:

Gas turbine fuel control   Fuel distribution and metering in Low Emission gas turbines is increasingly important  with increased emission requirements. EECC developed and manufactured fuel distribution control solutions for different gas turbine applications, with particular attention to specific characteristics of the turbine to be controlled and creating complete, integrated system solutions. The expertise of EECC is in the system solution approach, considering all aspects of the challenge, including analysis of the combustion requirements, mechanical and electrical design, control logic development, software implementation, equipment installation as well as in depht testing.

Liquid fuel transfer and treatment   The requirements to liquid fuel quality for gas turbines is increasing as complexity of the turbines itself increase. EECC has developed a series of fuel transfer and treatment skids for gas turbine applications from 1 to 40MW. The EECC skids are based on a standardised base package and are customised to local requirements, such as flow and pressure, filtering quality, water separation, air separation, respecting all fire and explosion protection standards.

Lube oil  Refurbishment of old equipment often is more expensive than integral replacement with state of the art solutions. EECC has therefore developed an integrated lube oil skid for gas turbines of up to 10MW. The skid includes all required equipment, such as large capacity duplex oil filter, fully redundant pumps with automatic changeover for maximum reliability and protection of the gas turbine and all the required controls. Optionally power oil pumps and oil coolers (depending on size) can be integrated. EECC develops, manufactures and tests all the equipment prior to shipment to final location.

Turbine protection unit   The protection unit has been designed for turbomachinery protection requirements. The safety unit allows high standard protection, combined with maximum availability thanks to its inherent 2 out of 3 logic.

Turbine control equipment   In order to better serve its clients with turbine control components EECC has acquired Young & Franklin representation for leading gas and steam turbine control equipment.

- EECC has delivered:

- supervision of overhaul of gas control valves and stop-ratio valves in a major refinery plant

- VIGV actuators for 5MW class gas turbines

- RVDT retrofit kit for gas control valves

- control valve repair and retrofit package including installation and commissioning on a 120MW gas turbine
